Hamstring Strain?

Nordic Hamstring Curl

After a hamstring strain it is important to control any swelling, regain mobility and begin a graded strengthening program. An exercise that has been shown to decrease the risk of hamstring strains is the Nordic Hamstring Curl. The Nordic hamstring curl is an eccentric body weight exercise,

strengthening the hamstring muscle and tendon while lengthening the tissues. The exercise is difficult and should be incorporated at later stages of hamstring recovery, or incorporated into an athletes training program to decrease the risk of a hamstring injury.
